An Award Winning Team

The team at PMW were extremely proud to be awarded Wealth Manager of the Year: Southern Region at the City of London Wealth Management Awards 2019. Ceris Hymas, Head of Marketing, considers what it means to be part of a winning team.

As the PMW team entered the remarkable Guildhall, with its expansive ceilings and ecclesiastical windows, there was an obvious aura of excitement amongst us. This was the second year that Partridge Muir & Warren had been nominated for an award at the City of London Wealth Management Awards (COLWA), and after winning Family Office of the Year at the 2018 awards, we were keen to take home another trophy.

The room was buzzing with nervous finalists hoping to be recognised for their contribution to the wealth management sector and PMW was no different. It seemed like we had to wait for an eternity until the category of Wealth Manager of the Year: Southern Region came up. As the presenters read out the finalists, the team waited with bated breath. This award would mean so much for the company, especially considering we were about to see in our 50th Anniversary. As the finalists’ logos flickered across the screen and finally stopped on the familiar grey tones of Partridge Muir & Warren, the team couldn’t contain their excitement any longer. Our table, which was positioned in the centre of the room, jumped to their feet and cheered with excitement as we made our way to the stage to collect our award.

What makes this accolade particularly special is that our clients were the ones who made it possible. The company wasn’t reviewed by judges scrutinising our every business decision, with little understanding of the customer service we provide or the attention to detail we pride ourselves on. Our clients took time out of their busy lives to vote for us, because they value the service we provide. This demonstrates the loyalty and satisfaction we have built between us and our clients over the past 50 years. It also demonstrates our strength as a team. Whether behind the scenes working in operations or at the forefront of the business as part of the client facing team, every employee at PMW works tirelessly to maintain the standards that our clients’ have become accustomed to.

PMW is only an award winning business because of its award winning team and we look forward to another year of working together to provide an award winning wealth management service.
