In 2016 we became the Founding Corporate Partner for Elmbridge Philanthropy (previously the Elmbridge Community Fund). The charity aims to bring together businesses and individuals to encourage them to support charities and voluntary organisations in the Elmbridge area, by providing a sustainable income generation to enable them to continue to support those who need it most.
In January 2017, Simon Lewis was honoured to be invited to become Chairman of Elmbridge Philanthropy. The position has allowed him to be fully involved in increasing awareness of the charity within the local community and use his expertise to ensure the efficient running of the fund.
What attracted me to Elmbridge Philanthropy is the opportunity to support worthwhile projects that benefit our local community. Having visited many of the projects we have supported, it really is inspiring to see how these donations have made a difference to so many lives in Elmbridge. Whether providing somewhere for teenagers to learn imperative life skills or bringing lonely and vulnerable people together through music and song; all of these local projects make a difference to those living in our community. It is the knowledge of knowing that every grant given helps to change the lives of those around us that makes me so passionate about Elmbridge Philanthropy.

On Sunday 4 August 2019, our very own CEO, Simon Lewis, took to his bike to participate in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. With as little as two months training under his belt, Simon successfully completed the challenge alongside 6 other riders raising money for Elmbridge Philanthropy. Over the 100 mile course, he climbed 4,378 feet at an average speed of 16.5 mph and somehow managed to come across the finish line still smiling! Congratulations go out to all who completed the race.
There is still time to support Simon and the fund, having completed the adventure across London and Surrey, simply by visiting Virgin Money Giving to pledge your donation.
