Virtual Theatre: Digital Theatre Productions

Ceris Hymas, Head of Marketing at Partridge Muir & Warren, continues her series of articles aimed at providing inspiration whilst in isolation. In this article she looks at the productions available through Digital Theatre.

This website requires either a monthly subscription (£9.99) or a one off payment (£7.99) per production, but for the quality it is really worth it. I purchased this subscription so that I could watch the musical Funny Girl, which is a show I have wanted to watch for some time. The quality of the filming and streaming was fantastic and I really felt like I was watching the show live.

This website is great for those who loves the arts in general and it features plays, musical theatre, Dance, Opera and Music. If you are really missing the big Orchestras of the Royal Albert Hall then it is certainly worth a subscription, as there are a number of fantastic orchestral recordings on there.

The website has quite a few critically acclaimed performances, such as Funny Girl, All my Sons and Into The Woods, all of which feature top quality performances from a number of featured actors. If you are really missing the theatre I would highly recommend a monthly subscription to Digital Theatre to enjoy some of the best theatrical performances available virtually, whilst also supporting the arts.

Visit the Digital Theatre and see what’s on.
