The Budget July 2015

George Osborne introduced the first wholly Conservative Budget to parliament on Wednesday 8 July. He announced that the UK economy was “fundamentally stronger than it was five years ago”, with a strong rise in living standards.

Mr Osborne told MPs his Budget set out “a plan for Britain for the next five years to keep moving us from a low wage, high tax, high welfare economy; to the higher wage, lower tax, lower welfare country we intend to create”.
